Tyler Dailey

Aquatic Design Engineer

Tyler Dailey

Tyler attended the United States Air Force Academy his freshman year of college with a focus on Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering. He then transferred to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to complete his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Tyler obtained his Engineering Intern (EI) designation in 2010, and Professional Engineer (PE) license in 2015 with the State of Illinois. In 2015, Tyler also gained prequalification status with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) which certifies his proficiency and legal ability to design and acquire construction permits for public swimming facilities within the State of Illinois. Tyler is actively expanding his PE license reciprocity in the lower 48 States.
Tyler began his professional career as an intern in college with the Illinois Department of Transportation. After graduating from UIUC he began work at Fullerton Engineering Consultants as a Project Engineer and eventually Project Manager. At Fullerton, Tyler traveled the country inspecting and surveying hundreds of telecommunication sites for new equipment upgrades with the Federal Aviation Administration, Sprint, and T-Mobile to name a few. The upgrades required structural analysis of towers, rooftops, etc. as well as construction drawing production and permit acquisition.
Tyler left Fullerton Engineering in 2014 to begin work in the Aquatics industry as a project manager and IDPH prequalified designated design professional at Innovative Aquatic Design under Jim Lueders. After years of establishing a long track record of effectively consulting, designing, and acquiring necessary permits for a variety of aquatic designs in many different states, Tyler broke off to start Aquatic Design Partners.
Tyler loves family, engineering, and baseball. He is a self-diagnosed “enginerd” and is passionate about all fields of engineering, and hands-on projects at home. Coming from a family that produced a couple aviators in the Air Force and Navy servicemen, he is passionate about the history and future of aviation. Tyler was recruited to play catcher on the Air Force Academy baseball team before walking on briefly at UIUC. Despite the health hazard, Tyler still tries to live the baseball dream and sneaks away to play softball now and again during the summer. He enjoys sharing these interests with his wife and young daughter at museums, air shows, and baseball games.
